A husband was talking to his friend about his marriage."There is a secret to a successful marriage,"he said,"and Ihave discovered what it is."

  His friend was eager to know the secret and asked the husband to tell him.

  "It's very simple," said the husband."In our house my wife takes care of the important things and Itake care of the important things.In this way, we don't bother each other and we're very happy."

  His friend was impressed."It sounds reasonable," he said,"but please tell me...what sort of things does your wife take care of?"

  "Well," said the husband,"for example, my wife decides what kind of job I should choose and what kind of house we should live in. She also decides what kind of furniture we should buy and where we should spend our vacation. Things like that."

  His friend ws puzzled."Then what things do you take care of?" he asded.

  "oh," said the husband, "I decided who will be the next prime minister, how much money the government should give to developing countries, whether there will be a nuclear war...important things like that."
